[Trans] 131206 Junsu My Daily Interview - The reasons why JYJ wouldn’t do activities as a whole for 2 years
The member of idol-group JYJ, Kim Junsu announced that JYJ will be doing activities as a whole next year.
Kim Junsu said in the musical ‘December’ interview held at a cafe in Samcheong-dong on 5th afternoon, “Next year we will definitely release an album under the name of JYJ”, clenching his fists.
Although JYJ released their 1st album ‘The Beginning’ in October 2010, and the following year, their 2nd album ‘In Heaven’ in September 2011, they did not have any album activities for about 2 years after that.
“The driving force which drives me to stand on the stage is the fans”, Kim Junsu expresses his love for his fans as much as wanting to see the fans as JYJ too. Nevertheless, he said that the reason why they can’t release an album as a whole is because of ‘timing’.
"Someone wants to do solo activities, and if his solo activities start, other members can’t rest too, and will do activities like drama or musical. For example, Jaejoong-ie hyung has completed his solo activities, but I still have to continue to do my musical, or Yoochun-ie has to do another drama soon, we have things to do continuously. Although we always want to work as JYJ, the timing does not match well. Therefore, we definitely must release it (album) next year.", and laughed.
During their hiatus for album activities for about 2 years, Kim Junsu did musicals and released his solo album, Kim Jaejoong is doing his Asia Tour with his solo album. Park Yoochun is doing dramas like SBS drama ‘Rooftop Prince’, MBC ‘Missing You’ etc.
Although they are doing their individual activities, JYJ will go for a drive together occasionally if the time of the three of them matches. “If we are stressed out and needs to refresh, we usually go for a drive a lot. Just a few days ago, Jaejoong-ie hyung and Yoochun-ie rode to Cheonan to eat potato stew. Sometimes, we will go for a drive on the streets of Chuncheon or Sokcho”, displaying their still strong friendship.
